What is stored
Account details include your email, profile information, sign-in method and sessions. VanMemo stores your notes, tags, references, revisions, Trash, and image attachments to provide capture and retrieval. Sign-in and security records can include an IP address and browser information.
Who can access it
Other accounts cannot open your private notes or images through the app. Authorized service operators with backend access can technically read stored content when necessary to run or support the service. VanMemo is not end-to-end encrypted. We do not sell note content or create a public profile from it.
Where it goes
Cloudflare hosts the app and stores account, note and image data. If you choose Google sign-in, Google handles that authentication flow. Email sign-in uses a delivery provider to send verification messages. Images are re-encoded for storage, screenshots as PNG and photos as JPEG; original filenames and image metadata are not retained with the attachment.
On your device
Unsaved notes and image drafts remain in this browser profile so work can survive a reload or lost connection. Signing out does not erase an unfinished draft. On a shared device, export or save your work, then clear the site’s data before leaving.
Your controls and limits
Export current notes and images as a ZIP, or export text as Markdown. You can move notes to Trash and permanently delete them there. Full account deletion is handled by a verified manual request during early access. Previously downloaded exports and copies on disconnected devices are outside our control. Recovery copies and provider logs may persist for their configured periods; we do not promise immediate erasure from every backup.
